Lovely place, the room we booked (deluxe) was so perfect! Beautiful bathroom, big balcony with a fantastic view. The host was super friendly and accommodating and offered us some surprise breakfast the first morning. I really felt comfortable in the space, it was super welcoming. Although we had a beautiful room, we also spent some time in the common area, because it was so beautifully decorated and cosy.
Short walk to town and the beach. I would definitely come here again!

George appeared to be a nice small town.
George appeared to be a nice small town. While entering through the highway, there are a few patches that appear kind of unsafe and disappointing, but most part of the town is good. The nearby places like Victoria Bay and Mossel Bay (didn’t visit) are good.

Beautiful sea view, almost seemed it was a private beach with no crowd or very few people on the beach.
We ate at the The Views Restaurant, Nandos in George, Sailor Sam in Knysna, Aweh Brew in Plettenberg Bay and Freshline Seafood in Knysna.
It is easy to get around Wilderness because there is just one main road., the N2. although it is terrible to drive on this N2 road because of the ridiculous speed limits, besides the road construction, is also the cause of traffic build up.

place was stunning, however when i booked was noted we had to vacate the place between 8-12am, we had cleaning staff demanding we leave
at 9.30 so they can clean as new tenants arrive at 2.. we were intending to leave at 10, they could not wait and insisted to invade our space. very unnecessary as the cabin was kept as we found it. i think the maids must
understand we are the paying customer not them. bit of a spoiler.
the host michelle was very attentive and gracious. thank you michelle
for the response on the call out too😉 to brian and verner can see you
have a close family and have had wonderful times have memories... luv that.

Comfortable beds and rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Able to enjoy nature. Food was tasty and great variety available. Lovely walk on the property. Nice camping ground available with each site having it's own ablutions.

The quietness of the location as well as the ease of access to other areas. close to some very good restaurants (we did not try them all). we had many whale and dolphin sightings as well as abundant bird life.

Hoekwil is beautiful with lots to see - there is a big tree nearby which you can visit (make sure to wear comfortable shoes). There are also a few nice places to eat, drink coffee and enjoy the quiet surrounds. The accommodation in the area is also very nice and neat.

Glentana is a friendly hidden gem for people with a taste for a quiet, yet fulfilling life. Its location is amazing, the ocean always clear and the breeze is fresh. The neighbourhood safe and the people are lovely.

I liked that it’s not very busy.
I liked that it’s not very busy. The transport network looked great. Didn’t see taxis creating havoc on the roads.
I didn’t like the fact that driving from Knysna to airport I couldn’t find a petrol station to fill up the car

We enjoyed the scenery and quietness around the Wilderness Lake View. We were also thankful for Spar being close by to get cold drinks during a hot and sunny day with a scorching sun burning on our skin adding vitamin D and a tan to keep the holiday spirit alive!

The accommodation was awesome, the reception super friendly and informative. The view was unequaled. It was a most memorable stay. The meals at Dutton's Cove were amazing. So glad that we chose Herold's Bay as a destination and Ozone Apartments as our host. The hike to the cross and the view from there was breathtaking. We were even blessed to see well over 300 dolphins in 2 consecutive days and 2 whales. Will definitely re-visit.
