The apartment was perfect --stylish, spacious, clean, and cozy. It was perfect for our family of 5 (we took a two-bedroom). The kitchen was large and well fitted, the living room was very nice, the balcony was massive with a seating area, and the bedrooms/bathrooms were comfy and clean. We loved that the floor was heated (such a nice touch). We also loved the area it was at, and the grounds were secure and well-manicured (which is expected in a golf resort). Driving in and out of the resort was really nice as it's on a mountain with superb views. The check-in was smooth. We arrived late and hungry, so the lovely front desk staff suggested we order room service from the restaurant. It was delivered quickly and was very delicious. Our apartment was not too far from the main club house for breakfast; as the weather was crisp and cool, it was perfect for a morning walk. The staff at the restaurant were delightful and accommodating...the breakfast buffet was the best we've had whilst in South Africa. Their hot chocolate was a hit with the kids. We weren't able to golf, sadly, as we were on a schedule, but it would be great to bring our clubs next time. The golf course looked fantastic! I used the laundry service, and our items were finished and delivered to our room the next day. They were not ironed, so make sure you specify that option if you need to. The laundry service was reasonably priced (they charge per kilo). What we liked about staying in Knysna is that it was quite central to areas we wanted to visit, like Tsitsikamma Natl Park, and Cango Caves. We enjoyed having dinner some evenings at the Knysna Waterfront (only a 10 min drive). I would definitely stay here again when in Knysna! 3 days was not enough!

We were lucky to get a last minute booking here and we couldn’t fault our one night stay. From our arrival at the reception, the porter Sunshine’s friendly helpful service taking us to our beautiful accommodation, the plentiful supply of logs for the fire in our room, wonderful bath and toiletries and the delicious food both at dinner and breakfast the next day. The coffee at breakfast was the best hotel coffee I’ve had in a long time. The only disappointment was that due to load shedding we couldn’t use the spa facilities during our afternoon but I had a wonderful time using the pool , sauna etc the next day before walking back through the beautiful gardens before sadly having to say goodbye. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

So incredibly amazing to be in the trees and nature! A really beautiful experience for anyone who loves climbing trees! Staff was so friendly for our welcoming. These units seem to be built for summer, they did their best to help with visitors in winter like us and provided everything they could, and we battled with the cold. No regrets and we still loved it!

Absolutely everything to like about this hotel. The location on Thesen Island the views, the friendly smiling staff and their willingness to assist in any way. Quite location but with everything on hand. Not just a mini bar but a well equipped kitchenette and a nice touch with a fresh lemon on the chopping board. Just perfect. Even the loo had a view!

The location, restaurant and especially the service is beyond words! everyone gives its best to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible… we had a blast and can recommend it to anyone that loves good food, great wine, spectacular views and a very comfortable room. We will definitely come back!

The setting and ambiance of Emily Moon is fantastic. The rooms are absolutely luxurious and every detail is taken into account. The staff is really friendly. We met the owner and general manager personally and chatted with them for a long time.

very cute, fully equiped. very nice views, super quiet. Kayaks and padell boards free to use. Closely enough to downtown but also separated enough so that you have no noise. can't wait to be back.

Adrienne and Bernie were excellent hosts. They went out of their way for our vegetarian breakfast requirements and were very helpful everyday planning our day trips. We felt like we were at home.

I would like to thank the staff at forest edge, they were friendly, place was neat and clean. Breakfast was exceptional and they went out of our way to make pap for us really enjoyed that touch
