The views are amazing from the rooms. The room was sea facing and we were lucky to see a beautiful sun rise in the morning. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a place to stay at Mossel Bay! We got a baby cot in the room which is of decent size and very comfy.

    Our villa was breathtaking, lunch was great, our dedicated game rangers were attentive and well informed and the facilities and reserve overall are wonderful. We wish we could have stayed for more than a night and day (ie we booked lunch, evening game drive, dinner, breakfast, morning game drive). Then we could truly have enjoyed the restful atmosphere and surrounds of the villa. Our children (12 and 8) had never been on a game drive before and loved it. We saw so many animals, including elephant, only missed the lions and leopard. Lovely experience.

    The location was perfect, close to all to be done in Hartenbos, and a very short drive to the beach. The view was wonderful, we even watched flamingoes flying pass and we wished that we could stay longer!! The complimentary filter coffee and delicious biscuits were a special treat. Parking is just outside and easy to access. The canoeing is a must and add to the wonderful experience.

    We normally make use of Portao Diaz Hotel when we visit our family in Groot Brak River and George. It is need and tidy and some of the people there remember us from visiting through the years. The view over the sea from our room, is each and every time my main thing in the mornings. I love the view.

    Mossel Bay itself has so much to see and do and then you have all the little treasures on the outskirts of Mossel Bay. One that we found this weekend after visiting Mossel Bay for the last 15 years is the Butterfly Sanctuary on the R328 in Ruitersbos. Visit in summer to see the butterflies as in winter their numbers are far less. A must at the sanctuary is to meet Earle Whitely a world renowned butterfly expert.

    Seeplaas was excellent. Will definitely go again. The room was clean and well laid out. The view and sound of the ocean is heavenly. Enjoyed breakfast every morning, also looking at the sea the whole time. Saw whales and dolphins playing right in front of seeplaas. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Being very lucky to spot all kinds of animals we had the privilage to be accompanied by an outstanding guide - „King David“. Knowledgeable, experienced, helpful and very friendly. Thanks a lot, David! Suggestion for improvement: We missed dustbins and better cleaning service in our room…

    Love the tranquility of the area.

    Love the tranquility of the area. The beaches are pretty and clean. Dolphins appear often while walking the beaches in the morning. Scenery is amazing with the mountain view one side and the beach the other side.

    Dana Bay has the most beautiful beaches & we saw a number of whales there are also dolphins, the bushbuck roam freely in the conservency, there are beautiful sunsets & the whole family can enjoy long beach walks & fishing

    It was so relaxing. Great pool. Room had everything you needed Lovely staff and it was also lovely to relax at night and have dinner at the hotel. Food was to our liking. Enjoyed our stay so much we extended it an extra night.

    It was easy to navigate and there’s a lot to sea and places to visit but we didn’t have time as we were there for 4 days. If one plans to stay longer they will find exciting things to do and for families with kids too. The shopping malls are easy to access .

    It’s been one of the best places to break away since my grandparents went on holidays. Hartenbos has kept up with the times and can proudly boast with its holiday atmosphere. If you havent been, make sure to go as soon as you are able.
