Amazing location, safe area espcially for solo travellers. Room was perfect, roof top pool was great, the cafe downstairs is a instagram hot spot. Short walking distance to the beach for morning cold water plunges, on the same street as restaurants and nice boutiquey shops. Parking was extremely easy and accessible. If/when I come back to Cape Town I will be staying here.

What a wonderful stay — but far too short. During our trip along the Garden Route, we absolutely wanted to do a game drive, so we booked one night here. But take our advice: one night here is simply not enough. To fully experience this place, you actually need at least two, maybe even three nights. Anyway, for anyone looking for a true safari experience in the western part of South Africa, there’s only one thing to say: Botlierskop is absolutely the right choice. Of course, it’s not Kruger — but hey, you know that in advance, and this reserve is clearly very well managed, and sustainably too. As for the accommodation: absolutely fantastic. Extremely spacious tented lodges with every imaginable comfort — and what views! We stayed in one of the lower lodges overlooking a pond where rhinos and buffaloes came to drink, just a few meters below us — truly breathtaking. The 3.5-hour game drive at sunset was educational and perfectly guided by Mel. The fact that we didn’t see lions didn’t matter at all — the rhinos, hippos, elephants, buffaloes, cheetahs, wildebeests, giraffes and zebras more than made up for it. Finally, the staff were friendly and discreet — what more could you ask for? We’ll definitely be back, next time with our children. Thank you!

Location - Very close to Victoria and Albert waterfront (20-25 min walk). 5 minute walk to supermarket. Didn't have breakfast as the apartment had a fridge and hob so we could make our own. Had booked 2 rooms as with family, one room had a washer/dryer which was great. Ate in the YU restaurant a few times, both in the restaurant and also in the Bar upstairs. Food really good. Very spacious and comfortable room overlooking Table mountain.

The location is second to none, incredible ocean and mountain vistas almost wherever you look, but what really made this experience something special are the staff, they are attentive, engaging and friendly. What really struck me about the staff is how much they actually care about your experience, always asking “can I help you with x” or “we can do y if that’s better for you” etc without skipping a beat!

Our visit to Table Mountain was a great experience, The restaurants in Capetown were fantastic with great service and excellent food choices, the people were great and very helpful. We visited Robben island which was a fantasic experience and well worth the money, the harbour was amazing, we also went to Hermanus to see the Whales that is well worth the 2 hour trip driving along the coast. Stellenbosch is well known to me as I live 40km away. My wedding was at the Stellenbosch United Church and we had a lunch for the guests at The Red Leaf Bristo @Beyerskloof which was amazing. Venue, food, service, views were just perfect. We proceeded to overnight at Cloud's Estate which was such a beautiful experience. We proceeded from there to Robertson but on second thought should have spent the time in the Stellenbosch area.

Lovely views from a scenic coastal path.

Lovely views from a scenic coastal path. Part of the costal path towards the town is in need of repair and therefore closed but doesn’t distract from the great views. During the season whale watching can be great to see. Bars and restaurants are of a good standard, for us the steaks at Chard’s are excellent and well worth trying

The best part of Franschhoek has to be the wine!

The best part of Franschhoek has to be the wine! We visited 12 wineries in 3 days, 2 of which were on the Wine Tram. Thoroughly enjoyed them all! Staying centrally in a guest house was a good choice as it allowed us to explore Main Street with all its shops and restaurants at our own pace on foot. We liked the Tuk Tuk experience that we decided to take to a nearby winery and found it great cost effective fun. The scenery is stunning wherever you turn-- nice to just take it in at a leisurely pace. Food was excellent everywhere and the wine-- well, that's the icing on the cake! Small town atmosphere appreciated after a larger and busier Stellenbosch. Would go back in a heartbeat.
