We had the most amazing stay at Bungaraya! The location is idyllic, the staff are the best, most wonderful people and were fantastic at helping organise a proposal 🥂. It is the ideal place to learn about the conservation efforts and get away from the world. We really liked that we couldn't get wifi in the villa as it made us disconnect and appreciate where we were more but that might not be practical for everyone. The food was delicious and fresh with a mix of local and international flavours. All in all a wonderful place and hopefully we will be back in the future! **Side note - we were lucky enough to stay at the Gayana Marine resort on the other side of the island for a few days and it was equally amazing! Very relaxed vibes, perfect if you want seclusion and watch the marine life 🐟

Beautiful view to Kota Kinabalu mountain and the stunning sea view! Great breakfast with lot of different choices and great coffee! Free yoga classes what was held in the spa every morning, that was a great bonus. Very helpful and polite staff, met us always with a smile.

The hotel is lovely and the staff very helpful and friendly. We loved the fact that they are an echo resort. Only downside is the sea is not clean, but unfortunately this is becoming less and less frequent everywhere and not something the hotel can control.

We stayed in the ocean wing and from start to finish was an amazing experience. We like the whiter reception area and pool and breakfast here too. The family room was great the kids loved the bunk beds and the outdoor bath tub! The setting was peaceful and perfect for a relaxing holiday. The spa treatments snd golf were also amazing. Sadly the weather was too raining thunderstorm for our booked night jungle walk and horse riding but that can’t be helped! Overall a fantastic place to stay for a luxury getaway.
