The receptionist and staff on duty are very warm, friendly and helpful. Since we had a long time to spend in Devonport before embarking on our ferry to Geelong, the receptionist advised us to drive to La Trobe. It's a most charming small town with the best gift shop in the world, named the Reliquery. You must not miss this lil town and gift shop. Besides, the hotel's location is so near to the Spirit of Tasmania pier. We had no problems taking our car into the ferry to Geelong. Thank you so much Gateway staff and management

Roosters Rest is a wonderfull place. The house is big and clean and there is a nice garden with flowers and even some pademelons. The cheese platter and breakfast were more than we could hope for.

Spacious and comfy room. The owner is very friendly and helpful. It has a great location. Kids love seeing rabbits in the backyard and alpacas and cows on the nearby farm. The night sky was beautiful.
