A lovely, quiet hotel in the countryside. Lovely atmosphere and welcoming, helpful host. The room had character and charm. Continental breakfast was tasty and having the option of evening meals was ideal and added to the relaxation. Lovely gardens for strolling around. We did not use the outdoor pool due to the cool weather but it looked nice for a warm day. The overall experience was peaceful, relaxing and felt like being in a country home.

Residence to the ‘Marquis of Santillana’ back in the 15th century, the building has now been carefully renovated into this delightful 5-star hotel.

This is a real gem. Absolutely the best we experienced on our trip to Portugal so far. La Casa del Organista is located in a historic center which is one of its kind. We were amazed how thoughtful the house was renovated. Our room with balcony was quiet with great views. The bathroom was so nice and clean that we almost didn’t want to use it.The bedlinen was of finest quality and the mattress heavenly. One more highlight in the morning was the breakfast prepared by our host personally. No lack of anything. Best products of the region and a great coffee. It was comfortable, clean and in a lovely location , at the beach ,overlooking the headland The dining room was delightful . All the members of hotel staff - reception, bar , cleaning , catering - were cheerful , welcoming and helpful.
