In the old car- low center of Chartre near the cathedral we were welcomed very friendly by Marthe in the beautiful old bishop's house (14th century) that is renovated and tastefully decorated in every detail. We had breakfast in the calm and peaceful garden. We got perfect instructions on how to reach the house and we could park the car in the private parking. Everything was looked after with personal care and flexibility.

The hotel is very well located, with a very attentive staff. The room is huge and extremely comfortable. The design around the bed is funny and if we're not careful, we might bump our heads, but it didn't affect our stay. The shower was the best we had on our trip through France. It was worth it."

The location could not be better, 3 min walk to Palace & Gardens (the main reason for our visit). Fabulous shops and restaurants nearby. We will return.

We lamost booked for anothe night but the forecast was poor - but we would have done otherwise... Excellent location - parking a bit tricky but they were very helpful in this regard
