The history and the layout of the castle was amazing. The Lucy Walter room was large and luxurious as was the bathroom. The common lounge room, sunroom and castle nooks were a fabulous bonus. Not to mention the views of the coastline were stunning. As an Australian I was amazed and felt like a queen in being able to stay here.

Amazing location, from the moment you arrive you feel the history of the building. But saying that, it is fitted with everything a modern residence would need comfortwise. Clean and well furnished rooms, staff are amazing and environment is ideal.

A lovely warm welcome on arrival by the reception gentleman. The room lovely with tea and coffee supplied. Walkin shower with plenty of room which I requested as I'm disabled . The bed extremely comfortable, and a view from the bedroom window overlooking the courtyard. All in all great.

The setting of the site with all the nature around. Coast line is a 15min walk - a must to catch the sunset over here. Lovely cabins with enough space inbetween. Just perfect and worth every penny.

Relaxing break. Lovely views from the cedar lodges. Parking not far (with slight hill to walk to lodge). Well spaced for privacy. Light large dining area. Comfortable lounge. Well-equipped kitchen. Clothes airer provided. Good shower (over bath). Helpful staff. Some tea and coffee, sachets of milk and washing up liquid and sponge provided, which was helpful.

Honestly, we were upgraded from a chalet to their new Parkfields-wing, with jacuzzi, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, roof terrace, piano and what have you. Beautiful laid out, quite cosy too - so there is no room for complaints here! This was much more than we dared to hope for.

Stunning location, lovely family, so helpful. We booked 2 cabins for a family get together, this would have been great, however, we were spoiled with an upgrade to the lovely barn, which worked even better for us. Beautifully presented with everything we could want, plus so much more. Loads of options for walks & very dog friendly.
