The room was really lovely, clean, spacious and everything we needed. Really comfortable bed, lovely bathroom and really nice decor. The staff were really welcoming and checking in and out was really straight forward!

Must be one of the loveliest moments in the Lake District for us. Cosy atmosphere, great food and wonderful staff and a beautiful dog, everything is perfect for people who live in urban areas. The location is a bit far from the Lake District but worth staying there as a hub if you drive a car.

In Kendal town centre, the Riverside Hotel is a 17th-century building with a state-of-the-art leisure club. Rooms have river views, and Windermere and the Yorkshire Dales are 15 minutes' drive away.

It is a luxurious hotel, with charming staff and nothing is too much trouble. Nice big rooms and lovely ensuites. A pool and spa with sauna for relaxing nights. Lovely food from the restaurant.
