The hotel is in a lovely location close to the peak district. The grounds are beautiful. I was given a free upgrade to a large, clean room with a coffee maker and fridge. Viola, the cleaner, left a note explaining where everything could be found. This was my second stay at this hotel and I look forward to returning.

Comfiest beds ever! We were quickly upgraded to a premier room as our standard has severe water damage, and the location is fantastic. The grounds are stunning but we were unsure if we were allowed to walk around them, and there was a range of things to do - including a spa if you could get an appointment and a very cute afternoon tea room. We ordered a bottle of champagne to the room which came on time with a bucket of ice and two glasses which was lovely! And free parking too which is always a bonus :)
