This is an old-school inn, in the very best sense: spotless, lovely decor, in-house restaurant and even a lounge with a wood fire, where guests and visitors could have afternoon tea or evening ale. The staff to a one were hard working but very personable. Though the weather dampened my hopes for more hiking, it was always a warm respite I found returning to the Lodge.

Great locatio, at the heart of Stow-on-the-Wold. We really enjoyed our stay. The room was beautiful and clean. Excellent breakfast. Wish we could have stayed longer!

The Stag at Stow is situated in the centre of an amazing town. The staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. We had a quirky room called the Crows Nest at the top of the very old building. The town had a lot to offer with interesting shops and pubs.

The location is perfect and pretty. The food in the pub was amazing, traditional delicacies made to perfection. We had an ale n steak pie. Breakfast was made to order and very good. Room had an amazing old world charm and yet modern comfort.

Loved this magical hotel! So pretty and sitting in the best location! Absolutely out of a story book! Breakfast was excellent in the pub! Highly recommend.
