A very relaxing setting overlooking bay and the turquoise blue waters of the sea with mountains in the distance. We were very excited to discover we had a sea view when we hadn't booked it. The beds were really comfortable and the food in the buffet restaurant was really good quality. There was some vegetarian food but not a lot. The hotel is set on a hillside, so it's aesthetically pleasing and has lots of great sea views. There were 3 swimming pools - all of which seemed fairly quiet. The location was great - on the outskirts of the pretty town of Agios Nikolaos- about 15-20 minutes walk. The staff were all friendly, helpful and attentive. We will be back!

excellent position with view of the lake, right in the city centre but very quiet. The beach is 5 minutes walk from the hotel, and other interesting places worth visiting are all very close, just a short drive from Agios Nikolaos. The room was confortable and well equipped with all the things you need. Very romantic view from the nice balcony

Everything about this hotel is amazing. We loved that hotel is very child friendly but is not child focused. The facilities and propety is very spacious and you can have a lot of privacy. Rooms are spacious and food is amazing.

Centrally located in Agios Nikolaos, 150 metres from the beach, it features accommodation with free WiFi and views to the Cretan Sea or the town.

Since I brought a dog, just adopted at a nearby shelter I needed a safe place where we both felt comfortable and welcome. I couldn't have found a better place. Irene was very accommodating and gave us a warm welcome. She selected the best flat for us safe for the dog and did anything to support us. The staff and Irene's son were also wonderful. The beautiful lush garden and pool with comfortable common spaces are a paradise.. The long beach opposite is great for long walks and swimming. The only restaurant at the beach unfortunately doesn't want guests with dogs so make sure you got a car to go around.

We had a wonderful 7-night stay at the Koutsounari Traditional Cottages, it couldn't have been more perfect! The cottages are managed by Ioanna, a charming host who runs the property with love and dedication. She warmly welcomed us, serving homemade lemonade during check-in while providing us with a list of recommendations for eating out and sightseeing in the area. We tried almost all the tavernas she suggested and enjoyed each one of them. The cottage, exemplifying traditional local architecture, has been beautifully restored with attention to every detail. It offers everything you need, including comfortable beds, a small but well-equipped kitchen, and even a lovely set of welcoming gifts and complimentary Korres toiletries in the bathroom. The highlight is the stunning private terrace that overlooks the Libyan Sea, making you want to stay there forever! If you appreciate local tradition and seek a more unique and sustainable experience compared to a typical hotel room, you will likely love this super charming accommodation as much as we did.
