Amazing world-class hotel. This is THE place to be in Santorini. Breathtaking view. Excellent food, delicious breakfast. And the most friendly, attentive, helpful and professional staff we have ever come across in our travels, especially Manos, the best Hotel General Manager in the world! Thank you so much to the team for an incredible experience. We were blown away by Cavo Tagoo Santorini and will definitely stay here again.

A few days ago, I stayed at this hotel, which has incredible views, but in addition to that, the service from the staff is top-notch! During my stay, they attended to all our requests, from getting us taxis for transportation, laundry services, and arranging tours. I especially want to recognize the service of Adriani, who helped me send a jacket I had forgotten at this hotel from one island to another; she managed the entire shipment. I couldn't be happier with the experience and service! I will come back for sure!!

At Altana, we experienced everything we had hoped for in Santorini. From our room, we could enjoy a breathtaking golden sunset, and just by going up to the shared pool area, we could watch a magnificent sunrise. Our private pool was perfect — I was initially worried from the photos that it might feel too enclosed, but in reality, it was semi-sheltered in the best way. It offered enough privacy while still feeling open, making it ideal to use even under the strong midday sun or in the cool evening breeze. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were genuinely kind and attentive. As someone who loves traveling and has stayed in world-renowned resort destinations — Bali, Hawaii, the Amalfi Coast, the Maldives, and the Bahamas — I can honestly say that, both in terms of value and overall experience, Altana easily ranks among my top five stays. Choosing to stay in Imerovigli, rather than the busier Oia or central Fira, was also one of the best decisions we made. During our trip, we often walked between the hotel and the Fira bus station — about 20 to 30 minutes each way — and the stunning scenery along the route made every walk peaceful and memorable. (If you’re older or prefer convenience, I’d recommend taking the bus instead.) Thanks to the thoughtful assistance of the Altana staff, we had some of the best meals of our entire Greece trip — including Athens, Meteora, and Delphi — all just a short walk from the hotel. They also helped us adjust our itinerary perfectly to the local conditions, such as hiking time to Oia, visiting the Red & Black Beaches, and exploring Pyrgos. If my family or friends ever visit Santorini, I would wholeheartedly recommend Altana to them. And if I ever return to Santorini myself, there’s no doubt — I would choose Altana again.

The view from our balcony was fantastic, perfect and the room spotless.

Amazing accommodation and hospitality! The views were unreal, the breakfast fresh and delicious, and the room very clean. We even got a free upgrade which was so kind of them!

The view is just breathtaking, room was comfy and tidy, staff very friendly and breakfast always tasty. Location is brilliant of you are looking for peace and quiet.
