Great location, authentic house, friendly staff. Bed was comfy, liked the small details in the room and around the house itself. Pretty nice breakfast.

We were there for the Diwali but we didn't know about It , we arrived late and didn't realize It was holiday.When we asked if It would be possibile to have dinner because we didn't want to go out they organized a Wonderful traditional dinner out on the terrace which was completed decorated with coloured mandalas on the floor made on purpose for us .the family were all there for serving us and explaining the meaning of that holiday.w Wonderful experience for us .The view of Durbar Square from the terrace where we had also breakfast was unique and when I went to pay the Bill we realised that we had bene their guests and they didn't want we paid for dinner.The best hotel we stayed in Nepal.I strongly reccomend it

fabuluous hotel, great place to stay after the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. Short taxi ride to Thamel and other touristy locations. close to airport. Great staff. Food and drink service great, food fabulous. Really grateful for the luggage storage.

Nestled within beautifully landscaped grounds, Shambaling Hotel is a charming refurbished house from the 70s.

Very welcoming and peaceful Tibetan Buddhist hotel. Lovely rooms, prayer flags flying, sound bowls in the room, gated entrance, prayer wheels, great indoor/outdoor cafe/restaurant, beautiful potted plants, yoga and spa including sound healing. Handy to both Bouddha Stupa and Phulbari Monastery. I easily walked to both (Stupa is closer).

Located in Kathmandu, 700 metres from Boudhanath Stupa, The Boudha Inn provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a terrace.

The owners were friendly and helpful - assisted us with a visit to a particular monastery. The breakfasts were great - good choice, and good food. The rooms were spacious, and in a Tibetan style. The hotel is an easy walk to Boudhinath Stupa.

The staff were friendly and helpful, providing great advice and tips on what to see/when on my first trip to Nepal. Tulsi was also extremely helpful organising my trip to Kathmandu Valley (Nagarkot) from the hotel, ensuring I had a safe and enjoyable trip to Nepal! The location of the hotel is also brilliant, situated in a quiet and clean area where there is less car traffic, but also a 5 min walk from Thamel's bustling streets. The breakfast buffet in the morning had great options, ranging from Indian style, Nepali style and also American style breakfast options - the options were tasty and a great start to the day!
