I really liked to be welcomed by the whole team who've written a welcome card. The bed was so comfortable and the whole place was very clean. I also liked the gym and the restaurant in the lobby! Amazing place.

The art deco style decoration was very nice. Thanks to the location of the hotel, it was very easy to reach everywhere. Especially the bathroom and breakfast were extraordinarily good.

We had a wonderful stay! Deb and Don are fantastic hosts – warm, welcoming, and attentive. The house is spotlessly clean and thoughtfully equipped with everything you might need. It’s clear that a lot of care has gone into creating a great guest experience. The surrounding scenery is stunning, just as pictured. We would highly recommend Ōkura River Estate to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway that still feels like home.

The rooms were like apartments. So clean and spacious. The staff were lovely and you could get food and drinks throughout the day (only limited selection) breakfast was nice but again small selection. The room was very quiet and the WiFi works great.

A fuss-free stay on the city fringe, just minutes from motorway links, Greenlane Hospital, Newmarket, Ellerslie Convention Centre, and ASB Showgrounds.
