We love the breakfast at Skansen, it has a range of appealing, fresh and delicious options. A great start to the day. Staff are always super friendly and helpful. There is a good choice of where to sit, it is very clean, we never feel rushed and feel it is a great start to the day.

One of the most relaxing and comfortable hotel stays I've ever had. Quiet but convenient location between the castle and the station. Friendly staff. Delicious breakfast. Fast wifi. Spacious and sweet room. There was a cosy lounge, too, with free coffee and tea.

Housed in an old harbour warehouse, the Home Hotel Packhuset boasts spectacular views of the Kalmar Sound and the Öland Bridge. Some rooms feature exposed wooden beams, timber walls and free WiFi.

This was such an unexpectedly pleasant stay! Location is good, it's a walkable and convenient distance from Kalmar C station and Kalmar Castle. The common spaces feel cosy and the rooms are really decently-sized and comfortable. It is cool that they refurbished this hotel from an old warehouse. There were also free coffee and tea (of a good variety!) for guests. We had both breakfast and dinner included in our package, which is a bit unusual for a hotel, but the dinner served was delicious, and I don't think we would have a more enjoyable meal outside anyway. Staff were really friendly too. Fantastic accommodation, it's such a pity we only stayed one night!

The hotel has its room distributed over several properties, with the main reception, common area, restaurants etc in the middle of it. The hotel even provided complimentary soup and salad for dinner. Breakfast was also very nice. Old town and the main bus station and train station are 10-15 minute by foot, the castle is basically next door. So pretty centrally located as well.

Housed in a late 19th-century building, this hotel is on Kalmar’s Larmtorget Square. Kalmar Central Station is just 100 metres away. It offers free Wi-Fi, free sauna access.

Beautiful old hotel nicely modernised. Single rooms at the back face a quiet green park. Superlative buffet and tea or coffee available in the afternoon. Very kind and helpful staff.Central location. 5 minutes from bus and train station.

Everything was just perfect: the house, the room, the personnel, the breakfast and Findus the dog. What was above any expectations was how beautiful the location was by the sea. Too bad we only had one night there.
