The location was excellent, close to everything important. Though not so much walking distance, but we travelled with a rental car. The owner met us when we arrived and gave us the tour of the place and also gave very good tips about where to eat. The bed was heavenly, the best I have experienced in a hotel/hostel/BnB. The room had all the necessities, the view to the back forest. Even though the place is in suburban area, the yard was so private and nice we were sad to only have stayed one night. The breakfast was so amazing and good! I have nothing bad to say about this place.

Jenny and Sebastian are two kind hosts. The rooms are spacious and very clean with a view of the sea. The breakfast is good. Maybe more different fruits (in a land of fruits😃) would be great. I would love to come back and can highly recommend Manor on the Bay.

The location is very convenient and there are many restaurants/bars/cafes around the hotel. We had dinner at the restaurant (Helena’s restaurant) and it was fantastic. All staff are super friendly and professional. Their valet parking service is convenient. Breakfast was also amazing and we really enjoyed staying here.

The Bonne Esperance is located in a Victorian guest house, 7-minutes walk from the University of Stellenbosch. It has free WiFi, an outdoor swimming pool and a wrap-around veranda.
