Housed in a former Guild Hall, the Hotel des Balances enjoys a picturesque location on the Reuss river in the heart of Old Lucerne. Wi-Fi is available free of charge.

Most rooms offers views of the Chapel Bridge, the Jesuit Church and the Weinmarkt square. We got the room with river view + balcony. Great view, lots of amenities provided (or available per request), room was big enough and clean. If u have a balcony, suggest to call for room service at least for breakfast, so worth it.

It features a terrace with panoramic views over the Swiss Alps and the bay of Lucerne. A very unique & amazing experience to sleep on top of Pilatus! The views are breathtaking, the food is delicious and the staff was very friendly. Definitely recommmended.

In the summer months guest enjoy free access to the heated outdoor pool of the neightbouring hotel Beau Rivage. Loved everything about our stay here. Beautiful, large room right across from the lake. Super friendly service - we went down late for breakfast one day and they not only recommended a fantastic resturant, they also called ahead and checked for us that they were open. The food was fantastic. In short, can't recommend this enough. I'm definitely coming back
