The hotel Makao offers a private beach in Palomino. The modern hotel has a terrace and views of the sea, and guests can enjoy a variety of drinks at the social areas or at the beach. Amazing place! We read some reviews discouraging us from coming to palomino but we are so glad we came. It’s a special unique place and saying at this hotel made it even more special. The food here was great. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Many reviews say you can’t swim here which I guess yes it’s not a place to go for a full swim or snorkel but we definitely got in the waves and cooled off. Overall we would stay again.

Offering two outdoor pools and a restaurant, Aite Eco Resort is located near Palomino, just 200 metres from a private beach. It offers free limited WIFi and an open dining room for guests. I always book resorts close to beaches but here, you are on it! Less than 30 seconds to the sea. The staff are friendly and never seen without a smile, the grounds are tended to every morning keeping the lot tidy. There’s no music on the property which allows you to immerse yourself in nature (more places should do this) the food is incredible at both the restaurant and the beach restaurant (highly recommend booking the ‘romantic’ beach dinner even if you are solo as I did for my birthday) Many excursions to provided by the resort which are easy to arrange with staff on WhatsApp or at reception.
