You will need a good car to get there, but you will not be disappointed. It is a huge tree house stretching through the native forest as it is built into the forest. Great for bird watchers and frog spotters. Great hikes between waterfalls and around local fields and villages. Very caring staff will book local tours for you and will look after you with a high level of hospitality. The rooms are very big, the bed and mattress are impressive and the mosquito net is well built and spacious! We are very grateful!

Located on the edge of a protected cloud forest, Poas Volcano Lodge offers stunning views of Poas Volcano. This boutique hotel features a bar-restaurant, lush gardens and stylish rooms with free Wi-Fi. A verry nice place. The room cosy and comfortable. Everything clean. We enjoyed both the dinner and breakfast.

Each simply decorated room, suite and bungalow at the Hotel Montecampana has a fan and cable TV. Bungalows come with a kitchenette and a seating area. Pool slices are not safe for kids. No towels, beds are very uncomfortable. It's a nice area but not AC. Super hot at daytime and cold at night again, no blankets. We didn't even have windows to open, only a very noisy fan. Did not advise me not to stay underneath the bar with my 4 year old. He was awake until 11 pm, that's when the music went down
