This family-run guest house is quietly situated in Stadt Wehlen in the heart of the Saxon Switzerland National Park, directly below the world-famous Bastei rock formation. It offers free WiFi.

The delicious breakfast buffet consists of mostly local produce as well as homemade jams. In the evenings, guests can relax on the terrace with a good Saxon beer or wine. Firstly, we were happy to be staying in a family-run hotel and to be able to support a family business. The staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful, giving us tips for what to do and where to go and even for restaurants in the area as we were there during Christmas and the selection was very limited. We were also kept up to date about the weather and various other conditions in the general area. The breakfast was amazing, including the selection of the family's homemade jams. There were so many that we couldn't try them all! Fresh bread, loads of cold cuts and eggs, a huge variety of cereals, and fresh fruit.

The property has hypoallergenic rooms with a flat-screen TV and a tea-kettle. Nice, clean, and quiet place. Only stayed one night, but it ticked all the boxes for our stay.

Each studio or apartment at Residenz am Zwinger has its own balcony or terrace. All units feature custom-made high-quality furniture and a fully equipped fitted kitchen. The bathrooms have a walk-in shower or spa bath, and each studio or apartment also offers underfloor heating, a washing machine, clothes drier and king-size beds. Everything about this place was amazing! The size of the apartment blew us away! The rooms were all big, not to mention the massive walk in closet and sauna in the master bathroom as an added bonus. The kitchen had everything we needed to make some home cooked meals. The pull down bed in the living room was very comfortable and it was nice to have a second full bathroom, with a washer and dryer. The location was terrific, a short walk to two grocery stores, a few minutes to the town center with amazing restaurants and so many things to explore and right by a tram stop. The parking situation was so easy and convenient, even for our large SUV. We are looking forward to staying here again! Loved it!

Each of the rooms at Hotel Via Regia - VIAs-Hotels comes equipped with a seating area and a private bathroom. The hotel staff was extremely on-point. They greeted me by name upon entrance to the hotel, had paperwork printed out for me specifically. That made the checking extremely easy. The receptionist had great suggestions for late-night take-out options, and even offered us silverware once we came back with our food. That's what caring about your guests actually looks like. The breakfast was very well stocked, diverse, and of high quality. Absolutely worth the money. The room had the crib, as we asked. And a huge, sturdy ventilator, to help with the summer heat. That was a very nice addition.
