Logis Hôtel du Cygne is located in the heart of Bracieux on the Loire Castles Route, 20 km from Blois, 8 km from Chambord and 10 km from Cheverny. It features a heated outdoor swimming pool and a terrace. The village was quaint, everyone was friendly and welcoming. Our room was newly renovated, clean and comfortable. The pool was a bonus!

After a little bit of adventure to find this glorious historic place, I received a very warm welcome from Tattou, an affectionate Shih Tzu, and once I had made my way to the door, from Pascal. As many others have commented, the place is glorious and the result of some 15 years of restoration. I enjoyed my attractive and well equipped room and a great private dinner cooked by Pascal, all at a very fair price. The Manoir is well situated for travellers ( like me) on the A10/A28 although your Satnav might struggle. Sadly I didn’t get to appreciate the garden ( mid January stay) although Pascal uses his produce to decorate the place: glorious Annabelle hydrangeas firmed the centrepiece of the arrangement in the stylish dining room. I also enjoyed Pascal’s knowledgeable wine choices.

Quality service and impeccable cleanliness. The place is charming. Good breakfasts and comfortable beds. According to us, Le grand Saint Marc is one of the best places to stay in Vendôme

Offering a seasonal outdoor pool, views of the river and free use of bicycles, Chateau des Grotteaux Près Chambord is set in Huisseau-sur-Cosson in the Centre Region. Blois Castle and Chambord Castle are 9 km from the property. Amazing place and amazing staff. Great hearing the Chateau’s history from Gael. Breakfast was also outstanding. 11/10

A recently renovated bed and breakfast situated in Gidy, Chambres d'hôtes GIDY features a garden. This bed and breakfast features free private parking, full-day security and free WiFi. The property offers soundproof units and is set 10 km from Gare des Aubrais. This B&B is a wonderful place to stay. Located near to main roads and close to shops and cafes/restaurants. The owners were lovely, friendly and helpful. The room was exceptional - very modern decor and an extremely good size. Superking size bed, separate toilet and bathroom (both of which were very, very clean), breakfast was super with cereals, fresh breads and croissants, jams, yoghurts, orange juice and lots of coffee. Plenty of car parking available. I can't praise this place enough - it was superb.

Set in Sassay, in a historic building, 12 km from Château de Cheverny, Les hirondelles du moulin is a recently renovated bed and breakfast with a garden and terrace. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. Guests can make use of the children's playground or the picnic area, or enjoy views of the garden and inner courtyard. Lovely place, had a great time. Awesome owners.

The breakfast is incredibly; home made Marmelade, yogurts and fresh baguette. All in all a wonderful place to either unwind or use it as a base to see what the area has to offer.
