It is situated on the West End of Princes Street, with views of Edinburgh Castle. Awesome hotel and location. Staff is very friendly and receptionist is a quick and accurate problem solving. Loads of amenities in the room.

The Hotel Ceilidh-Donia is in a quiet residential area, just off Dalkeith Road, a major route into Edinburgh. Edinburgh Waverley Rail Station, Edinburgh Castle and the shops of Princes Street are within a 15-minute bus ride. This hotel exceeded my expectations. It was beautiful and cosy, and the staff were extremely friendly. It was in a good location with a bus stop around the corner to bring you to the centre in 15 minutes. The owner gave us a map when we arrived with information on how to get around and very helpful tips on places to see. Our room was clean, warm and tastefully decorated. Breakfast each morning was delicious. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, I will definitely be back!

Apartment: it's absolutely amazingly, bright and spacious apartment in vintage style. Staff: I would like to recognize Sandy, she went an extra miles to make my arrival as smooth as possible. The thing is that reception open hours are from 8am - 8pm, however my train arrived at 8:16pm. She left form me straight forward instructions how to get an access to my apartment.

Great atmosphere. Convenient and quiet location in the new town, close to the royal mile, with an £8-10 uber ride to all the main attractions. Large, comfortable room with great design, especially when comparing to london. Very helpful staff, who give great advice about the city etc. Great lounge and restaurant, perfect for those not wanting to go far for great food. Fabulous A La carte breakfast. Generally a great hotel in every sense.

The room was very cozy and well-equipped (kettle, tea bags and coffee, complimentary chocolates and water); the hotel is located in a very nice and quiet neighbourhood with very quick city center connection (although on the map it looks a bit far, in reality it takes only 15 min to get to the center)
