Breakfast was excellent watching the birds and squirrels in the garden in their conservatory.

Our room was spotlessly clean with a view of the swimming pool. The staff were just exceptional, friendly knowledgeable about the history of the building. Their attention to detail when it came to allergies was amazing. The chef checked and double checked to make sure what he made for me would be ok. I can’t thank all the staff enough for their attention.

Cottage Lodge Hotel is set in the Victorian village of Brockenhurst, nestled in the heart of the New Forest National Park. This charming 17th-century residence offers cosy rooms, as well as tea, coffee and cake on arrival. Cottage Lodge was very comfortable and had excellent facilities. The breakfasts were excellent and the selections of breakfast meals were all enjoyable. The hotel was perfect for us as we could walk to the bike rental near the train station to pick up our bikes. As we did two days of biking, it worked out well. Having a designated car parking spot was nice as we always had a spot to park. From the hotel you can walk to the restaurants and pubs, no need to drive.
