Guests can also relax in the shared lounge area. Xantha is great for two reasons: the stunning view of the Pagasetic Gulf, the mountains and Volos; and the really wonderful lady who is now running the place (and who also speaks very good English). One should take into account that the road up is steep, narrow and at some places winding, not an easy one, and it's best to have a good engine, but it's well worth it for the view from your little balcony and the friendliness and generosity of the hostess: who not only invited me to eat as many of the ripe figs from the trees as I possibly could, but even paid my bill with the dinner delivery man (you can order food up) since I was in the shower!... As well as your own balcony, there's also a verandah off the drawing room with its own view of the Gulf, and the outside patio sitting area is especially nice. There's an open bar in the main drawing room of the hotel where you can make yourself herb tea from a varied selection, or of course coffee. So unless you would find the drive up difficult, Xantha is very highly recommended!

Studios at Kala Nera Panorama feature a flat-screen TV, air conditioning and a balcony. There is a kitchenette with a refrigerator, cooking hobs and kitchenware. Each private bathroom comes with a shower and free toiletries. Lovely location, few minutes walk from the shore, beautiful views. Friendly and very helpful staff. Room was nice, quiet, good beds. Cute village with nice restaurants and good bakeries.

Located in the scenic village of Makrinitsa, Hotel Adam features traditional accommodation with views of the Pagasetic Gulf or Pelio Mountains. Guests can relax at the living room with the fireplace or at the cobbled courtyard, while a café is also featured on site. This is simply a fabulous place. The room was clean and spacious, with an amazing view. We also enjoyed breakfast very much. This was one of those places where everything turns out even better than you could ever expect. Thank you!
