An epitome of grandeur, Taj City Centre New Town, Kolkata, is the Hallmark of Urban Hospitality. As soon as you enter, you’re engulfed with peace and calm. What a beautiful hotel to stay in. The staff are extremly helpful. They gave us local recommendations. It was like having a local guide at your hotel. Stand outs were Salauddin who was just a call away to help with everything and Salini. She was very helpful and was almost out local guide. Thanks for the hospitality.

Vedic Village Spa Resort heeft een spacentrum en een bad in Kolkata in de regio West-Bengalen. Verder zijn er een bowlingbaan en een spellenkamer bij de accommodatie. Mooie ruime locatie. Alleen ver van de stad. Goede ontbijt mogelijkheden.

4-star Sonnet Hotel is a 2-minute walk from Salt Lake City Centre Mall. It provides excellent facilities like a pool, several F&B options and well-equipped rooms with flat-screen TV. This is the third time I stayed at The Sonnet in the last 4 years. Clearly, I like the place. I do not have that much to add to what I wrote in the previous cases. The Sonnet provides excellent value for money. This is not a 5 star facility but the facilities provided are quite adequate. The last time I was there the place was undergoing renovations. But they seem to have been completed. The swimming pool is open and so is the gym. The rooms are decently sized. My room (501) had a very comfortable double bed, a sofa and a large desk, which was excellent for working. The bathroom is not huge but adequate and the water pressure is great. The breakfast buffet (now served again in the ground floor restaurant following renovations) is quite decent from my perspective; it contains most things most people want. The location right next to City Centre Mall is great and there is ample parking right in front. The staff as in pretty much every place I have stayed at were extremely friendly. I ordered room service one night and the focaccia bread chicken sandwich was a very large serving! To put this in context, during this trip I stayed at three different places n Kolkata, Raakjutir (close to Hyatt Regency), the Westin in Newtown and The Sonnet.
