Fosshotel Mývatn is located next to Lake Mývatn, 6.8 km to the Mývatn Nature Baths. The hotels provides free WiFi and free private parking. It was the best hotel we stayed in this year in Iceland. The room is comfortable, and the view is breathtaking. Breakfast is good, with a lot of choices. We also had dinner in the hotel's restaurant, and we were happy with the food also.

This hotel is quietly situated 2 km from Lake Mývatn and 30 minutes’ drive from the Godafoss Waterfall and Krafla Crater. It offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with modern furnishings. we signed up for northern lights alerts and they tapped on the door when the lights were sighted! Very appreciated. Dinner was terrific and the breakfast was generous. Beautiful location!

Where do I begin… Local breakfast, friendly staff, helped us with all the problems, great ice cream, the best dogs, great location, beautiful suroundings, big kitchen, cosy living room, good laundry service, I could go on for ever! Loved it!❤️ One of the highlights of our trip and we saw the northern lights!

Quietly located 5 km from Iceland's Ring Road and 13 km from Lake Mývatn, this family-run guest house offers views over Sandfell Mountain. The guesthouse is away from the road and any city, so it would be a perfect location for watching aurora borealis. The rooms were cosy, warm and clean. The facilities had everything that we needed. The breakfast was delicious. They even offer lava bread and other homemade bread. A special treat were the waffles that you can prepare for yourself. All in all a realy pleasant stay.
