The staff was amazing too. We were running late for dinner at the hotel and the restaurant was going to close by the time we got there. Everything, the rooms were cosy and clean, the food at the restaurant was divine, the lamb shank was lit! But by far the best was the staff from arrival with Agnes and the being advised all the best places to go by Gosha the Polish host with the most and the restaurant manager, they were all engaging, helpful and friendly, we were travelling Iceland for ten nights and this was the stand out ♥️

The diner with lamb was good, also the warm home made rubarber. There are 2 hot tubs beside the place to use. Good WiFi and very friendly waitresses.

Tea and coffee making facilities and a work desk are found in most rooms at Hótel Mývatn. This is a beautiful hotel in an amazing location. The Lake Myvatn area around the hotel was everything we hoped for and more. The trails around the nearby lake offered excellent walking and hiking. The hotel is quite close to other area attractions including the Myvatn baths. The included breakfast was exceptional with more choices than one could hope to work through in a stay of several days. Dinner in the restaurant was also very good and service from hotel and restaurant staff was very good. We enjoyed our stay.
