Great staff at check-in, and the room was fantastic with a chance to see the Northern Lights. Breakfast was included, making our stay even better after a long drive!

Arnarstapi Cottages is located in Arnarstapi, Snæfellsbær. The property also has a terrace. Each room is fitted with a patio with views of the mountain. The cottage was nice and clean. It is very convenient that you can check in on your own so late check in is not a problem. There is a nice restaurant nearby (Stapinn) and their soup was delicious, especially after such a long day.

Found 23 km east of Snæfellsnes National Park, this hotel offers bright, modern rooms with private bathrooms. WiFi and parking are free. Snæfellsjökull Volcano is within 20 minutes’ drive. Beautiful facilities, many parts looked new. Spectacular location. The staff was great. They asked if we would like to have them knock on our door if auroras were sighted. They did knock on our door, and we saw some beautiful auroras. All the better because the location is isolated with very dark skies.
