The host is very nice and helpful. We always choose this place when we come .There is also a nice pool not too far...one of the best.

Guesthouse Stekkaból’s rooms have a modern and neutral décor and bathroom facilities are shared. Room size is in line with most rooms in Iceland. If you are 2, you'll have to manage with not having your bags open all the time. Common kitchen and living room are great. Breakfast was one of the best in our trip. Common baths were enough, luckily we did not have to wait to shower. Not in walking distance from supermarket, but very close to Stukuhusid nice restaurant and the public swimming pool, both great.

Had a fridge which is a nice bonus on a road trip with perishable items. The breakfast buffet in the morning was great....it had all the things. The staff at the front desk were sincerely friendly and helpful.

It wasn't built as a lodge, so noise does penetrate but this is a reflection of the behavior of the guests, nothing else. And no, bed bugs don't exist.
