There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. It's one of the best experiences in Iceland. A super warm welcome from the owner, a nice cabin where we stayed. Assistance in arranging the horse riding - we really felt at home. The room, the communication and overall experience was simply AMAZING. Highly recommended!

Located on a family owned sheep farm, Saudafell Guesthouse offers accommodation in Sauðafell. Free WiFi and free private parking are available on site.

The rural setting was perfect for us; we loved being on a working farm. The home was warm and inviting! We arrived when other guests were making their dinners in the full kitchen. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a beautiful view of the farm. The hosts were lovely and were able to share helpful information and suggestions!

The possibility to wash clothes and cook a nice meal. The big tv in the bedroom with Apple TV was a nice addition. Quiet surroundings and a small waterfall nearby.

This was the best guesthouse during my stay in Iceland, well located with wonderful views on the fjord from the windows of my room. Spottlessly clean, the staff was nice and the breakfast divine. Late check in was not an issue at all.
Nýp
Offering garden views, Guesthouse Nýp in Nýp offers accommodation and a garden. This beachfront property offers access to a patio, free private parking and free WiFi. Guests can make use of the picnic area or the terrace, or enjoy views of the sea and mountain. The hosts were exceptionally helpful, well beyond what I expected. My wife and I arrived fairly late (8:30 pm), and we found that the bathroom was too difficult to access, given her mobility issues. I had reserved a room with shared bath, but had not considered that the toilet would require several stairs. The host sent us to a nearby hotel that had an easier toilet access, without any extra charge. We were very grateful for this. The facility looked very nice with a superb scenic view.
Látur
Offering natural hot springs, free Wi-Fi and an in-house restaurant, this farmhouse hotel is in Iceland’s wild Westfjords. Súdavík village is within a 1-hour drive.
Private bathrooms are featured in the bright, basic rooms at Country Hotel Heydalur. You enter each room from the outside.
The accomodations and establishment are very nice. The whole feeling of this place is very unique. It's not just a place where the views are amazing, but also a farm where you can see horses and also 2 very nice dogs. You have a hot sprint outside and inside. We've been in Iceland 3 times and here we ate the best food from all the places.
This guesthouse is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. I will not be surprised if in the future people will visit the west fjords only to stay here. I can't recommend it enough. Thank you so much for having us. Wished we stayed longer!
Sauðafell
Boasting a hot tub, Erpsstadir Cottage is situated in Sauðafell. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The holiday home has a children's playground and a hot tub. The cabin is located on a farm, set apart on a hill. It’s a few hundred meters away from the farm, making it very quiet. Sheep roam around the cabin and are friendly enough to be petted. In front of the entrance, there’s a hot spring tub, and the hostess had already prepared the bath for us (which isn’t always the case). All the necessary daily items were provided, including a dishwasher, hairdryer, washing machine, and a dryer (with quick-dry programs and even one for 6 hours). There’s also a smart TV. The cabin has three bedrooms, each with space for two people, and one room has a double bed. The curtains are a lovely red, and the bedding was clean. All toiletries were also available. There is internet access. The cabin also has guides to Iceland. At the farm, you can see and even pet animals, and there is a shop selling meats, cheeses, ice cream, and other products. I regret not buying meat for dinner there, as both the cheeses and meats were cheaper and of better quality compared to the supermarket, and the ice cream was delicious.

The house is beautifully restored, tastefully decorated and extremely characterful with a lovely family history. It was great to be able to use the well-equipped kitchen to cook dinner and there was plenty of space in the beautiful living room to eat and relax in the evening, with stunning views over the valley below. Berglind and Finnbogi were very friendly and welcoming hosts.
Relaxed atmosphere, loads of character, friendly and welcoming hosts, plenty of places to sit and relax, good breakfast .. and the rhubarb cake Also, some beautiful art installations in the old herring factory nearby, and lovely exhibition on basque whalers
Hótel Karólína was such a nice place to stay; the room was comfortable and the shared lounge was a lovely space to spend some relaxing time. The person who made the breakfasts (sorry can't remember her name) was just delightful and meeting her was one of the highlights of our stay!
Very lovely place to stay. Super helpful and friendly owners. Beautiful view, relaxing nature and very comfortable room. The kitchen is very well equipped.
Beautiful location with breathtaking views every time you look out of the window. Felt very tranquil and relaxing as it’s so isolated. Lovely food in the restaurant and a modern, spacious room. Very friendly & helpful staff on reception and in the restaurant. Great tours to be booked through the hotel and lovely to have the geothermal pools on site. The canyon baths were a particular highlight, a wonderful experience & not to be missed!
Quiet and convenient. Lovely warm hot tub and relaxing space.
Dramatic cliffs rising from the village, lovely cafe next door and the Inn itself is very relaxed. Lovely breakfast, lots of choice with ham, salami, cheese, bread, loads of jams and honey, cake, yoghurt, cereal and fresh fruit. The blue sky and winter sunshine over the fjord with snowy mountains in every direction is stunning.
The people are great, wonderful bed and hotel room. Great hot tub , lovely place to relax in the glass room and great coffee and dinner and breakfast! Nice walks around the place, all super.
This place is spectacular. From the location to the facilities and staff everything was luxury. I made a mistake with my Icelandic, got the word for anniversary wrong and mentioned honeymoon instead - was greeted with a very nice detail from the staff. The two nights here were amazing, the room was spacious with a great view, breakfast was plentiful and could even use the outdoors hot tub which uses hot spring water. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and wish I come back many more times. Thanks for everything!!
