Offering sea views, Onomichi Guest House Miharashi-tei is an accommodation set in Onomichi, 70 metres from Senkoji Temple and 700 metres from Onomichi History Museum. With a bar, the 2-star guest house has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a shared bathroom. The accommodation offers a shared kitchen, full-day security and luggage storage for guests. Cant recommend it enough if you want to experience sleeping in a beautiful old Japanese house on a hill! The staff is very sweet, take their time to carefully explain everything. The stay also has a small cafe, where you can even eat your own outside food or just hang around. Room + the view from this stay is amazing! :)

Located right in front of Miyajima Aquarium and a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine's exit, Mizuhasou offers accommodations in a modern yet traditional décor. Free Wi-Fi is available at the entire building. Miyajima Ferry Terminal is a 15-minute walk away. Loved everything about it ! The private onsen was definitely a huge plus. The rooms were perfect. The meals were lovely and very copious. The location is perfect. I had lower expectations but this place exceeded all my expectations and was one of the highlights of my trip for sure.

Located in the World Heritage Miyajima Island, Iwaso features Japanese-style accommodations with beautiful surrounding views. Guests can relax in the indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths and request for massages. A free shuttle is available from Miyajima Ferry Terminal, which is also a 5-minute walk away. Selected Iwaso for an authentic Japanese ryokan experience, and our expectations were exceeded. Our room was large, decorated in a traditional style, with a terrace with a view of the forest and brook. Everything was perfectly clean. Upon check-in, we have been provided with yukata which was very comfortable to wear. Both dinner and breakfast were of a traditional Japanese style and were absolutely delicious (before our arrival, Iwaso reached out to us with a query as to our dietary requirements and vegetarian options). We slept on futons on the tatami-matted floor which was very comfortable. Onsen was delightful, especially the outside one when one can look at the forest and listen to the nearby brook and crickets. Staff was very friendly, helpful and responsive. Iwaso is located conveniently for exploring Miyajima, a couple of minutes of walk from the ferry. Iwaso also operates a shuttle to the ferry which you are offered to use before checkin or upon checkout.

ITSUKUSHIMA IROHA is located in Miyajima’s Omotesando Avenue, a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Miyajima Pier. The hotel offers a restaurant and Japanese-style rooms with free wired internet access. I adored this hotel, couldn't have been better located and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was stunning and I was very sad to leave. The snacks and drinks on the balcony watching the sunset were highlights.

Onyado Nono Sakaiminato Natural Hot Spring is situated in Sakaiminato, within 50 km of Hirata Honjin Memorial Museum and 25 km of Matsue Castle. The property is set 25 km from Lafcadio Hearn Memorial Museum, 29 km from Lake Shinji and 49 km from Atagoyama Park. The accommodation offers a sauna, hot spring bath, restaurant and free WiFi. The hotel was very pleasant. I would stay here again.
