Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). Basic food was also provided due to the location which is an exceptional service.

Only a 5-minute drive from Miyajima Ferry Port with its free shuttle, beautiful ocean views can be enjoyed from Miyajima Seaside Hotel. The hotel features a public bath, a karaoke room and free WiFi at the lobby. This was easily one of the best - if not the best - hotel experience I have ever had in my life! The staff was super friendly, took care of our baggage while we went sightseeing (they even offered us umbrellas!) and then came to get us in the evening to bring us to the hotel. The included dinner and breakfast were amazing, it really was a luxurious experience! The onsen accepted tatoos so another plus. The seaside view was beautiful even if the weather was not ideal.

The hotel offers public and private hot baths and a free shuttle to/from Miyajima Ferry Terminal. Free Wi-Fi is provided at the lobby. Welcoming staff. Amazing location. Nice room.

Combining modern design with a homely decor, Kikunoya Hotel offers both Western and Japanese-style rooms. Entertainment options include cable channels and a DVD player. Certain rooms include an en suite bathroom. Toiletries and slippers are provided for in the private and shared bathroom. This was our favorite hotel in Japan! We stayed only one night to get to see the island of Miyajima a bit more, and staying here was such a nice experience. In particular, the dinner at the hotel was so special and delicious! You need to message them to make the reservation some days in advance, but they were always very responsive. The facilities of the hotel were really great: the public baths, the rooftop terrace, the footbath café. Finally, the staff were all incredibly nice and helpful. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here.

Offering sea views, Onomichi Guest House Miharashi-tei is an accommodation set in Onomichi, 70 metres from Senkoji Temple and 700 metres from Onomichi History Museum. With a bar, the 2-star guest house has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a shared bathroom. The accommodation offers a shared kitchen, full-day security and luggage storage for guests. View is incredible . You can watch sunrise from your bed. Owner is nice and good English speaking.

Located right in front of Miyajima Aquarium and a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine's exit, Mizuhasou offers accommodations in a modern yet traditional décor. Free Wi-Fi is available at the entire building. Miyajima Ferry Terminal is a 15-minute walk away. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. The traditional bath was also very good with the tubs. The japanese breakfast was amazing.

Located in the World Heritage Miyajima Island, Iwaso features Japanese-style accommodations with beautiful surrounding views. Guests can relax in the indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths and request for massages. A free shuttle is available from Miyajima Ferry Terminal, which is also a 5-minute walk away. Staff were very prompt and thoughtful, responding to my query immediately and ensuring my food restriction is taken care of. They were attentive and ensured my needs were taken care of. Thank you very much for making me feel at home.

ITSUKUSHIMA IROHA is located in Miyajima’s Omotesando Avenue, a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Miyajima Pier. The hotel offers a restaurant and Japanese-style rooms with free wired internet access. Our room was incredible. It was one of our favorite rooms we stayed in during our two weeks travelling across Japan. It had so much character and beauty, from the tatami matt flooring, paper screen doors, beautiful wooden flooring in the bathroom, and bamboo weaving on the ceiling banisters. In our room, we had a fine view of the bustling streets of Miyajima. It was a great view for people watching as tourists and locals visited stores and restaurants. The dinner was great, made with fresh ingredients. It was no doubt one of the best dinners we had in Japan. It consisted of multiple courses, and you were able to choose preferences for each course. This was a nice surprise, as we had stayed in another ryokan in Hakone a few days prior that did not offer a selection for the courses. The sashimi was super fresh, and the pork tonkotsu was terrific.

Renewed in 2013, Sakuraya offers affordable Japanese-style rooms with mountain or sea views. Free Wi-Fi is available at the public areas. Miyajima Ferry Terminal is a 3-minute walk away.

The air-conditioned rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding. Each comes with a flat-screen TV and an electric kettle with green tea bags. All rooms have a private toilet, and some have shared bathroom facilities. Amazing room with view on the ocean. Very comfortable futon beds, nice public bath. Great location.

Onomichi Guest House Anago-no-Nedoko provides beds in shared dorm rooms, a 5-minute walk from Senkou-ji Ropeway Station. It offers free Wi-Fi and a free-use internet PC. Guests can wash laundry at a fee, while the shared kitchen offers free tea and coffee. Beautiful hostel! Very comfortable and friendly staff!
