Kaname Inn Tatemachi is set in Kanazawa, 800 metres from Kenrokuen Garden and 1.1 km from Kanazawa Castle. Great location and amenities and super friendly staff. I particularly loved the hotel’s recommendations guide/Google maps lists - as someone with dietary restrictions and often struggling with decision paralysis, I can’t iterate enough how handy/stress-free this made organising meals for me! The music bar was lively and if not for exploring other places I’d have loved to spend more time there. A great experience!

Bungo-san and his mother were excellent hosts. The room had lots of space, and all the extras (tea, hot water, robes, etc.) made us feel right at home. The location was perfect to explore the wonderful city of Kanazawa. We would highly recommend anyone visiting Kanazawa to stay at Bungo-san's Ryokan.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The tatami beds were very comfartable to sleep on.
