Spacious table-seating in the dining room, all tables having a view of the garden (really a park-like setting) and a menu that deserves an international rating at the highest levels, and that applies to both dinner (the landscape outside the glass wall is softly illuminated) and breakfast that offers Western coffee selections and the best of Japanese tea. We booked two nights and we were delightfully surprised to find that both the dinner and breakfast menus were varied. The wait staff and chefs paced the meal to our habits, and as English-speaking guests we never were challenged in communications.

Massagers in the room! And the plural s is not a typo. Bed was huge and view was nice. Location was also unbeatable.

The hotel has an excellent location within walking distance of Nagasaki station and with a tram stop right in front of the hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious and provide a wonderful view of the cityscape at night. The staff are thoughtful and dedicated and go the extra mile to ensure a pleasant stay.

Hotel Monterey Nagasaki is a 2-minute walk from the Oura Kaigan Dori Tram Stop. Great location near sights like Glover Garden and streetcars for getting around town. But also with a locals’ neighborhood feeling. Nearby coffee shop, tea shop, eateries.

Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Saikaibashi in Sasebo has a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and a garden. Boasting free shuttle service, this property also provides guests with a restaurant. The onsen was wonderful, beautiful, clean and well attended. Breakfast and dinner buffets were great with so many great choices and excellent presentation. The hotel staff was accommodating and explained things that were unfamiliar to us. The hotel itself has a beautiful location and is well maintained.

Lovely sleepy village just out of Nagasaki. The rooms were beautiful and the futons very comfortable. Lots of amenities provided and the shared showers were private it didn't feel like a shared bathroom. The bikes were handy to have available to make the short trip to a wonderful Nigiri dinner. Was the best stay of our trip.

We stayed here on a friend's recommendation and the hotel was every bit as nice as we had expected. It is on Mount Inasa with a wonderful view down over Nagasaki harbour. There is a regular free hotel shuttle bus to Nagasaki Station - all day at weekends, there is a gap early afternoon on weekdays. Last bus timetabled 20:55 but once left a few minutes early. The breakfast is served on the top floor - amazing views and a good selection of Japanese and western style food. Our room and bathroom were very clean and the beds comfortable. Do ask for a room with sea view. There is a coffee lounge where you can sit and have free tea and coffee during the day - as well as having a fridge and kettle etc in your room. Comfortable sofa (can convert to a bed if a family staying) and desk and chair. Twin "single" beds were actually double bed sized. The hotel lobby is amazing! Lunch at Dejima museum ( the island which the Dutch historically traded from) was delicious - and the museum interesting. Glover park was beautiful day and night - with great views. The atomic bomb museum and Peace park are essential to visit.

Stayed 1 night at this hotel. Room was clean and essential items were provided for. Room was large enough for the twin beds and the beds were comfortable. The hotel was situated on a hill away from the city centre. The view of Nagasaki city from the hotel rooftop was beautiful both in the day and night. The onsen in the hotel was clean and large. There's fee carpark and large enough for many cars. Highly recommended.
