Located in Mirissa in the Matara District Region, 3.7 km from Whale Watching Mirissa, Ubuntu by Lantern boasts an outdoor pool, barbecue and sun terrace. Amazing location, great rooms with modern amenities and features. The breakfast was great too. Indika was very helpful

We had a pleasant stay at Thusara, Rohan and his family are so hospitable, nice little house with spacious rooms and delicious breakfast. The guest house is super clean and the family always make sure to help you and provide you with tips, information about transport and more. We highly recommend staying at Thusara. Location is great, a bit away from the beach busy life but so close to everything at the same time. Loads of restaurants, bars and cafe around. Thank you Rohana and Inoka :)

Mirissa Beach is a 10-minute walk away, and there is a supermarket and pharmacy about a 5-minute walk away. There are also many good restaurants within a 15-minute walk. If I come back to Mirissa, I will come here again.

Offering a spa and wellness centre, Peacock Villa is located just 600 metres from the famous Whale Watching Mirissa. Free WiFi access is available. Distant from the main road, this family owned residence is the ideal place to relax while being close to Mirissa Beach. Excellent staff: kind and always available to satisfy all our requests, especially the main host, Charindu, whose contribution to our wellbeing was essential. The pictures is completed by Simba, lovely and friendly dog.

Place is about 20 mins walk to the center through the jungle but you won’t get an amazing view anywhere else. The place is literally surrounded by paddies and you can see the train from the balcony. Bed is very comfortable and room is huge. If you’re not down for a small walk, the owner can arrange a scooter for you for cheap price. Highly recommend.

From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed by the kind and gracious host, Babi. She went above and beyond to make guests feel at home, setting the tone for a wonderful stay. I was given the option to choose between two rooms, which was a nice touch. The Inn is beautifully designed and very clean, from the stylish entryway to the thoughtfully renovated rooms. My room was comfortable and well-equipped, with a great AC unit, overhead and bedside lighting, a fridge and a balcony overlooking the lush jungle—a peaceful spot to unwind. The property also offers two guest kitchens and plenty of seating and lounge areas, making it easy to relax. It’s just a 10-minute walk to the surf beach, but I rented a bicycle, which made getting around even quicker and more convenient. One of the biggest highlights? The hot water and incredible water pressure—an absolute treat after a long day of surfing! I truly enjoyed my stay and will definitely return. Thanks, Babi, for an unforgettable experience! 🙏🏼🏝️
