So far it has been my best stay in Sri Lanka. The hosts were very kind, I got to fish in the lake for a few hours and we ate some of the fish for dinner after. They helped arrange a Safari for me. I only wish I stayed longer but was running short on time to squeeze in a few more towns before I leave Sri Lanka. I forgot a shirt that was gifted to me in the room and the family is sending to me in the next town over, very kind of them as the item hold a lot of sentimental value. Anyone looking for a quiet nature area where you can observe many birds and aquatic wildlife will absolutely love this place!

Wonderful family! Very accommodating, they go out of their way to make you comfortable. Cool treehouse like structure overlooking a gorgeous rice field. They arranged a Safari in Yala Park, drivers, transportation to Ella and drove me to the bank. They also took me to a spot with a bat migration! Very safe, secure spot too. Great host family and space!

The swimming pool was clean and great for a late night dip! The hotel owner arranged our safari and our tour guide was brilliant. The hotel restaurant was fantastic too and reasonably priced…breakfast was tasty and our evening meal was also very authentic! Definitely recommend, a hidden gem!

Enjoyed our stay here immensely. Our host and his wife are lovely people out to make your stay the best possible. The tree house was a cool cabin to stay in with a veranda overlooking the river. They also organized our safari, and the guide they use was terrific. Very knowledgeable. We were lucky and saw a leopard up really close. I totally recommend staying at this address!

Guests can relax on the terrace. What a special place surrounded by nature. The room (family room) was well proportioned and well furnished. The indoor out door bathroom was quite unique - we loved it! Breakfast was a lovely mix of western and Sri Lankan, I loved the breakfast curry 🥘 A lovely swimming pool overlooking the local rice fields was a welcome treat in the heat of the afternoon. A perfect destination for couples and families a like.

Chalets offer spectacular views of the beach or jungle. They are decorated with local artcrafts and feature air-conditioning, cable TV and a minibar. All chalets come with private bathroom facilities. We had a great experience staying here and exploring Yala. The hotel arranged two safaris for us, and both were excellent. Our guide Sampath and driver Supoon were very knowledgeable, and thanks to their experience, we were able to see leopards on both trips. They knew how to navigate the crowds and where to go for the best wildlife sightings. The hotel itself was lovely. We enjoyed the view of the beach from our cabin, and listening to the waves from the porch was a highlight of our stay. The property’s access to nature was excellent. The nearby lake was a prime spot for wildlife viewing. We saw crocodiles, wild boars, and elephants there. The staff, especially Gayan and Saman, made an effort to connect with us every day, ask how our day was, and point out wildlife around the property. We would recommend this place for anyone visiting Yala and looking for a peaceful stay close to nature.

If you are thinking of doing a safari in Yala national park this is the start, you can easily spot monkeys, all kind of birds and even crocodile alongside the river. They gave me such great hospitality and care. I was by myself and the only customer but I felt like I was part of the family from the first minute. Delicious food and very big portions 🤤 I highly recommend thank you!
