Probably the best place I've ever stayed! At least, I’m sure I’ve never given a “10” for all parameters. Silence. No extraneous sounds, you can't hear your neighbors at all. Having arrived, we just sat for a while and enjoyed the peace and tranquility of this place. Cleanliness. Clean in the toilet, clean towels, clean in the bathroom, clean floors (I walked on it in white socks, and they remained white!), no dust anywhere, even on the radiators. If you need to cook, there is a kitchen area right in the room, which has a refrigerator, microwave, stove, sink, dishes, coffee machine, kettle. The living room is very cozy, with a wonderful bay window. And in our case (we were there on New Year’s Eve) with a good view: all the fireworks were visible, and when we were tired of standing at the window, we sat on the sofa and could still continue to watch them. Great breakfast! Juice, coffee, tea, croissants, buns, butter, jam, fruit, eggs, pancakes, yoghurt, muesli, ham, cheese — there is plenty to choose from. The hostess greeted us with coffee and cookies. She appeared only upon check-in, and then at breakfast in the morning. Welcoming and friendly, but clearly does not like long empty conversations, which we really appreciate in people)). Therefore, it was very comfortable to interact with her.

Hotel De Doelen is located at the foot of the Martini tower, in a beautiful monumental building. The hotel offers modern facilities and free Wi-Fi.

The exceptional warmth and efficiency of all the staff. The beauty of the hotel. The lounge is book-lined, with chairs arranged around a cosy fire, so that it feels like a 19th century study. Above the wooden central stair case is a magnificent stained glass art nouveau ceiling.

Groningen is not only a lively student city but also a beautiful city to visit.

We booked a tent that to our surprise included beds and even Electric blankets, in case we got cold. The whole camp was absolutely lovely, even though it's in a village the campground itself at times feels miles away from any civilisation. The staff was lovely and the facilities were very well set up and taken care of especially for outdoor ones. The ambiance is lovely and you can see horses and cows from the edge of the camp. Over all it was a lovely experience
