Op 't Oorbeck is a historic family farm which was first mentioned in records during 1338. The farm is situated on the edge of a forest in rural Twekkelo, just 6 km from Enschede centre.

Not to mention a good coffee machine around the clock (we are a couple of coffee addicts). One thing to beware is that it IS quite isolated. If you have no car, you need either a bike, or a willingness to walk circa 30 minutes to the bus stop or circa an hour to Enschede. We were attending a conference at the university, and for us the morning and evening walks were an excellent way to relax and gather our thoughts. But if you are not of the walking/biking variety (Bart provides bikes!) and do not come with a car, this place is probably not for you.
