This is the most beautiful place we have ever stayed in, with the most charming landlady - Dear Raquel. A spectacular mansion in its beauty, elegant, warm and pampering, every item in it is tastefully chosen. The large space, the comfortable beds, the light and the harmony... As well as the small details that make all the difference (In each bedroom there is a deck of cards with Inspirational Phrases for example). The estate has a pool to enjoy on hot days and hiking trails around it that lead to wonderful nature. We accepted Raquel's offer and ordered dinner as well. The lovely Natalia prepared a meal for us that we enjoyed every bite of. Paired with good wine from the region - we had a perfect evening. In the morning, the hearty Ceilia prepared a particularly pampering breakfast for us, which started another perfect day for us. We plan to come back here for sure, this time for 3-4 nights. In our opinion, the place is worth a special trip to the area and certainly a great trip to the slate villages. MyStay - Campus Natura is gelegen op 45 km van Palácio do Bussaco, en biedt accommodatie met een gedeelde lounge, een barbecue en een gedeelde keuken. Er is gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie. Our room was super clean, the owner was incredibly nice and the breakfast was cozy and tasty and even allowed us to connect with the other guests and share stories. Although the hotel is located in a small village, all the locals where super nice and I really feel this is a place worth to be known and experienced. This is indeed one of the perfect examples of how to leverage the hidden portions of our country and bring them back to life! Amazing! (Last photo is the view from our room!)

Sete Quintas ligt in Miranda do Corvo met uitzicht op de bergen en heeft een restaurant, een gedeelde lounge, bar, tuin, buitenzwembad dat het hele jaar door open is en zonneterras. We have had a wonderful three week holiday in Portugal, staying in a variety of lovely places from the southern coast to the northern border. But of all those lovely places, Sete Quintas truly won our hearts. By rebuilding several abandoned stone buildings that had housed flour mills and an olive mill on property bordering a small river, adding gardens, olive and fruit trees, and a swimming pool, the owner, Carlos, has created a gem of peaceful tranquillity and natural beauty. We stayed in a small stone cottage - living room, bedroom, bathroom, very comfortable and all beautifully furnished and decorated - right beside the river, relaxing to the sound of the water. Delicious breakfasts were served in the lovely dining room in the main building just across the stone courtyard, where we also enjoyed delicious dinners, including excellent wine from a friend’s vineyard in the Douro Valley and olive oil made from Sete Quintas’s own olives. The owners made us feel so welcome and right at home; Carlos was very helpful with information about the area. This is a great location for exploring Coimbra and the ancient ruins at Conimbriga.

Mountain Whisper is een groep rustieke huizen die complete rust en privacy bieden. Breakfast was good and had a beautiful view.

Pedras Lavradas bevindt zich in Teixeira de Baixo, op 42 km van natuurpark Serra da Estrela en 29 km van Convento de las Carmelitas Descalzas. The place was great, a group of 14, we got there late, and the host opened up the kitchen. breakfast was great also. The host was friendly and verry accommodating.
