The setting was gorgeous, the cottages have a nostalgic feel to it, beautifully kept with original details, a cosy woodstove (wood supplied) makes it complete. Delicious homemade cookies and a wondelful host make you feel so welcome. The travel tips are spot on. And of course the breakfast is fantastic!

Probably the best decision we made on our trip was to stay with the folks at Foxy Crocodile. Located near the Crocodile Bridge entrance of the Kruger National Park, it is inside the private Marloth Park. The apartment was very spacious and clean. The best part of the stay was definitely the friendliness of the staff. This place is well-equipped for load shedding as it runs on solar, and we were never bothered by the scheduled power outages. If you stay, do book the half board, where we had some delicious meals, including the best T-bone steak we've ever eaten. They organize safaris, which were really comfortable, and we were lucky as we had the whole vehicle to ourselves. Book it, and you won't regret it. We will return here when we come back to Kruger national park.

From the moment we arrived, Peter welcomed us with great hospitality, ensuring that we were well taken care of from the start till the end. All safaris and tours were booked by the team, and Peter was always there to send us off and welcome us back. Breakfast packs were delicious, filling and homely. The 3-course dinner was top-notch! The chefs really did a good job nailing every dishes. Our room was clean, huge and comfortable. We were so close to some animals outside our lodge and it was an amazing experience!

Situated in Manyeleti Game Reserve, Buffelshoek Tented Camp offers a garden and barbecue. Sabi Sand Game Reserve is 34 km away. Free private parking is available on site. This was the most magical trip and we highly recommend Buffelshoek Tented Camp! Dudley and Lynn are so amazing in welcoming guests and making the stay absolutely amazing. The guides for the game drives are fabulous! Both Beckson and Elvis were so committed to making sure we saw all that we wanted to, even if it meant driving across the reserve! We saw the big 5 and so much more! We had shared that we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and they helped make it such an incredibly special day for us. On that evening we also had an elephant visit the camp! Wow!! This was definitely a bucket list trip for us and it far surpassed what we dreamed it was going to be!

Offering free WiFi and a year-round outdoor pool, Bambuu Lakeside Lodge is located within 17 km of the town of Hazyview. This lodge is overlooks a private lake and indigenous forest. Everything. The location was incredible, the staff were so friendly and the chef really cared about the guests enjoying his food - which was delicious! We arrived after a 4 hour or so drive and it was dark by the time we got there as well. The owner recognised this and didn’t hassle us with a full check-in - he just showed us around the room and gave us the information we needed to know. We left really early when we checked out and we were given a takeaway breakfast which was really nice. The setting was just wonderful with the sound of nature all around you. We really enjoyed our stay at this property and would love to return one day.
