FranceIf you're looking for an authentic stay during your Japan trip, I can safely recommend this ryokan. Maybe it seems that time has stopped somewhere in the 70's but it's what offers the charm of this place.
Ideally located, when I arrived after cycling for the all day there was a warm bath waiting for me. The room has everything you could ask for during your stay.

This is a beautiful Ryokan with lovely staff who were happy to have a little chat when we arrived and checked out. The rooms are spacious and very aesthetic with good amenities. The bathing facilities are fantastic and very relaxing after a long cycle route.

An absolutely outstanding experience, thanks to the hospitality of the staff and Mai-san in particular!
Mai-san went above and beyond, making sure we have a great experience and even drove us to an incredible, local onsen.
The ryokan is located in the middle of Shimanami Kaido cycling route and is a perfect stop for a two-day trip.
if we ever do this route again, we will definitely book Sawaki!
