The host and his family welcomed us in the most surprising and amazing way. They made us one of the most delicious dinner and breakfast we have had so far in Japan, 6-course meal excellently presented and made with a lot of love and local ingredients. We were escorted personally to nearby places we wanted to visit and we got to know the best hospitality from this family. The private bath was incredible, heated up by a little oven. Hygiene was perfect, we slept on futons and we had a great sleep. Everything is so cozy! We even saw wild monkeys, deers, and local fauna while strolling around. Amazing experience and stay. We highly recommend!

The Onsen was great. The food was sublime. The staff were amazing and spoke English to us. Totally amazing and a huge wow factor when we went down to dine. Amazing totally recommended. They even loaned us extra towels so we could swim nearby. And a fabulous little gift shop.

This is a gorgeous small ryokan located right on the bay of Amanohashidate. We were upgraded to a large, beautiful suite with its own stunning onsen bath, also with great views. The kaiseki dinner and breakfast were served in a private room by a really lovely server. A chef entered the room to prepare sushi at dinner and another chef came in to prepare an omelet the next morning. We really wished we stayed more than one night!

Very nice experience, very near to JR station (1-2 mins walk) and major attractions, very nice food, very nice onsen. Will stay here again if I visit amanohashidate

This place is a treat. It is wonderfully historical, and quite conveniently located. The walk to Amanohashidate is about half an hour, and I believe there are buses. Shopping centre and restaurants nearby. The hosts were kind and welcoming, and everyone in the town was extremely friendly toward a lone stranger. Plenty of charming shrines and temples around. It felt like the movie Spirited Away without the creepy parts.

Featuring a terrace and views of sea, Jukaitei is a recently renovated ryokan located in Kyotango, 1.4 km from Sunagata Beach.
