We loved everything about our stay at Nakanoshima. The staff were incredibly welcoming and hospitable - we were treated with a generous upgrade as it was our honeymoon but even without this, we still would have loved our stay. The room was generously appointed and the meals delicious. The onsen was something else and we also enjoyed the complimentary pre-dinner drinks and snacks. Such a brilliant experience and one we could recommend and also return too. Thank you for hosting us.

I went there because of the dinner. Other reviewers had recommended it. They were right. It was fantastic. Local specialities including tuna collar. And the way the food got presented was really fancy. Like a coarse meal.with the chef explaining me different sake. Moreover, originally I had booked a double bed room, even as I travel as single, cos this was only available bedroom according to booking. With a little chat back and forth, they were offering me a cheaper room. So nice and helpful! Onsen was good and clean. I did not book breakfast.

We spent two nights at the hotel. It locates in a 10-minutes walking distance from the JR station Kii-Katsuura. The staff are friendly and helpful. The Japanese style room is spacious enough with a ocean view balcony. Their Ryokan breakfast and dinner are a light spot, which are delicious in taste and rich in variety. They are different every day! The open air onsen in the hotel is clean and comfortable, helping us away from exhaustion. They also have free ramen for the guests in the evening, which is very tasty. Will definitely live in this hotel next time in Kii-Katsuura!

Our room was beautiful with a view of the sea. It had everything we needed and the futon was very comfortable. Watching the sunset over the ocean in the morning was very special. We could see the top of Nachi waterfall in the distance ! The traditional Japanese in the morning was delicious and copious, and it was a real treat to have proper coffee for the first time since starting the Kumano Kodo :-). The onsen was also very nice and clean and a real treat after a big days walk in the pouring rain! The hotel is close to amenities like restaurants and konbini. Would stay here again!

The view from the room is superb!!, we stayed at Japanese tatami room type. The room was spacious and felt like ninja house where so many doors connected to different small rooms. We got buffet both dinner and breakfast. I would recommend you to try dinner, it was superb. Breakdowns is ok but nothing special. The staff were amazing!! :)

Buffet breakfast and dinner are good. Senior staff is more helpful and friendly in welcoming guest compared to the younger one especially young girl at the important first impression front office. Hotel itself is very run down. The only thing we enjoy was the food and cave onsen.

I had a great time in Nagisaya Hotel. The room is in traditionnel japanese style (tatami and futon on floor) and had a wonderful view on the sea. The hotel offers interior and exterior onsen where I had my best time with the view on the moutain and a little on the sea (only men onsen has total view on the sea, women are on the other side). The staff is really friendly.

The onsen was nice (small but nice). The room was 4 1/2 tatamis which is pretty small. I really like the owner, he was very friendly and gave me a thorough tour, explaining everything and in goodish english too.
