Experience culture authentically with a stay at this traditional Japanese-style accommodation. Sleep on the floor (on a futon roll) in a room furnished with tatami flooring and sliding doors. Guests can often expect access to a communal bath plus a complimentary Japanese garment called a yukata.
This place is old but charming and in a good location. The people who run it are friendly but no English is spoken. The onsen is actually really big and nice.

The ryokan was very close to the JR Miwa train station. The room was spacious. The room had a small toilet attached to it. The family bathroom was big and clean.
The owner, Masahiro Uda San, maintained the internal garden tastefully. It was a pleasure to look at the garden through the viewing windows.
Masahiro Uda San gave me very useful information about the Miwa Shrine and hiking the amanobe-no-michi Trail. It was a pleasant stay.
