This is a very fancy and elegant hôtel in modern japanese style, very well located. The staff is very kind and they speak a good English! The rooms are very clean and cosy and the beds super comfortable. All amenities are provided, including the yukata to access the onsen. The onsen is small, but very nice and calm.

Both breakfast and dinner were absolutely fantastic. The master chef, Mr, Ito was exceptional. I have traveled several countries with well-known gastronomy including France one month ago and Italy 2 weeks ago. Food at Chalet Ivy was by far the best. It should be on the Michelin star restaurant list.

This was one of the best hotels I've stayed in Japan. The rooms are beautiful, spacious yet cozy. The private onsen in the bathroom was absolutely divine, not to mention the property also has indoor and outdoor onsens attached (both great). The futons were like sleeping on clouds and we had one of the best night's sleep of our lives. The dinner at the restaurant was a delicious and wonderful experience. The guest lounge on the ground floor was also a great place to relax and refresh. I wish I had stayed more than one night.

Everything was perfect: the staff was really nice and gave me all the infromation I needed for my stay. The food was sophisticated and delicious. The room was big, well illuminated, clean and confortable. All the common spaces were nice and confortable to relax. And the onsend was really great!
