Comfortable Accommodations: Onsen Guest House Tsutaya in Hakone offers comfortable rooms with private bathrooms, air conditioning, and mountain views. Very nice onsen within premises. Shared kitchen and lounge were nice and comfortable. Good beds.

Το Ito Ryokan προσφέρει δωμάτια με κλιματισμό και ιδιωτικό μπάνιο στο Τόκιο, σε απόσταση 200μ και 200μ από τα σημεία ενδιαφέροντος Revival Monument of Japanese Traditional Chinese Medicine και Amazake... Clean and big room - very traditional old Japanese style Ryokan; exactly what we have been looking for. Great location too. The staff was fantastic, providing us with tips for the neighbourhood and some interesting Japanese coffee jelly. There is free coffee, tea and water as well at all times. Be sure to reserve breakfast at least a day in advance. We missed it and unfortunately could not get a taste of it (though it looked fantastic).

Featuring a terrace with views of Lake Ashi, Hakone・Ashinoko Hanaori offers a soothing hot spring bath and sauna. The property is situated a 2-minute walk from Togendai Station on Hakone Ropeway. The best place we had during our journey! highly recommended for all - stunning lake view, super clean and beautiful room, great food, great and clean onsen - highly recommended!

Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. Friendly and helpful staff, responsive and waited for us although we artived very late. Great facilities in the botel.

Opened in April 2017, Hakone Kowakien Tenyu offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, an open-air bath or ceramic open-air hot springs bath made with Shigaraki pottery. Amazing location, very welcome staff, many complimentary drinks during the day at lobby, hot bath for legs at the lobby was cool. We liked all at this hotel and would recommend to everyone 😊

Boasting rare nigori-yu milky water hot spring baths and , Mount View Hakone offers Japanese-style rooms and Japanese delicacies. Family onsen rooms are a pleasant surprise to us. It allowed us to shower and onsen as a family. The restaurant staff were all so friendly and kind, and they always prepared baby chair and baby bowl and utensils for our toddler. The location is convenient as there is a combini nearby for snacks - the hotel has its own shop too. The room was spacious, though unlike other Ryokans I've stayed at, the mattresses didn't get put away during the day - no biggie though as we didn't spend much time in the room during the day.

Opened in June 2013, The Edo Sakura offers accommodation in a Japanese-style Machiya townhouse located a 5-minute walk from Iriya Subway Station and a 10-minute walk from JR Uguisudani Train Station. Facilities were very nice with traditional japanese feeling while western style bathroom was available in the room. Bigger private bathroom was a great experience. Staff was very nice, considerate and helpful :)

Opened in 1878, The Fujiya Hotel features Meiji Era architecture set in Hakone’s natural beauty. Fine historic hotel, carefully maintained without, however, affecting the elegance of bygone days. Spacious rooms with every comfort. Exceptional onsen with views of the woods, very high level of the Japanese-style restaurant.

A 2-minute walk from Sendagi Subway Station, Japanese-style hotel Annex Katsutaro Ryokan features rooms with traditional tatami (woven-straw) flooring and free Wi-Fi internet. The couple running this place is very welcoming and the space is spotless. You are not in the centre, but a quaint local neighbourhood with an amazing bakery and 2 train stations are in an easy walking distance. They also organised for my suitcase to be transported to Kyoto for a set date, which was just amazing.
