Ryokan KANADE heeft een gunstige ligging in het centrum van Kyoto en beschikt over een tuin in Japanse stijl. The place was beautiful. My only regret is not taking the in-house breakfast and dinner.

Yuno Yado Shoei ligt op 8 minuten lopen van het station JR Tambaguchi en beschikt over een eigen openbare warmwaterbron en een Japans restaurant. Very good Ryokan accommodation with public Onsen baths. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and the staff extremely helpful. It ia a short bus ride from the center of Kyoto and close to the train station as well. Totally recommended!

Kyoto Takasegawa Bettei is gunstig gelegen in Kyoto, en biedt conciërgediensten en gratis privéparkeren. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Response on the messages were very quick and above all, lovely accommodation with special thought put into the room touches like the beautiful local made tea set, vsnity and stationery set and bath area

Het Luck You Kyoto biedt accommodatie in Kyoto. Een gratis bagageopslag is beschikbaar. De kamers zijn uitgerust met een flatscreen-tv. Beautiful, welcoming and clean. The wonderful staff were very kind and helpful. I really enjoyed the use of the bath house across the street which they walked me over to and explained to me how to use. Breakfast was also great!

Kyomachiya Ryokan Sakura Urushitei ligt op 10 minuten lopen van de levendige buurt Kawaramachi en biedt accommodatie in Japanse stijl met moderne faciliteiten en een traditioneel design. Lovely experience to stay in Sakura Urushitei. We had Japanese style room and couldn't be happier sleeping in cozy futons and softest blankets in such a beautiful surroundings. Had Japanese breakfast each morning, remember to book breakfast in advance :) Ryokan has own bath which can be booked for private use. Convenient location very near Shijo station and Kawaramachi.

Ryokan Ryokufuso biedt gratis WiFi en een ruim, openbaar bad. De accommodatie ligt op 15 minuten lopen van het treinstation JR Kyoto. Echt slapen op autenthieke japanse wijze. Schone en nette kamers. Dinner was heel lekker en het pesoneel was heel behulpzaam en aardig.

Morizuya ligt aan de centrale winkelstraat van de wijk Kinosaki Onsen en biedt authentieke accommodaties in Japanse stijl, warmwaterbronnen en Japanse gerechten. Het personeel en de manager waren allemaal zo lief en gastvrij. Ze hielpen met onze zware koffers omhoog tillen en brachten zelfs onze koffers naar het station zodat wij het niet zelf hoefde te doen. Bij inchecken kregen we een kimono om te dragen voor fotos en kregen we een theeceremonie. De onsen in het hotel zelf was ook echt mooi en nogmaals maakte het personeel het echt gastvrij aanvoelen. De kamer was traditioneel en heel relaxing. Het is echt een aanrader.

De 1000-jaar oude boeddhistische tempel 高野山 宿坊 恵光院 -Koyasan Syukubo Ekoin Temple- biedt accommodatie in Japanse stijl, een prachtige tuin en gratis WiFi. The temple and grounds are stunningly beautiful. The room was the nicest I've had on this trip - comfortable and beautiful. The temple is cold but the heaters in the bedrooms made it very comfortable. The meals were delicious - again some of my best on my entire trip. They were very generous in sharing information about their religion and culture, and inviting tourists to participate in activities that helped us to better understand the life and routine at Ekoin. I appreciated the booklet in the room that explained how to navigate different things (e.g. the meditation, the morning service) so that I better understood. It was a special experience and was grateful for the opportunity to visit here.

I stayed at this wonderful ryokan during my trip to Kyoto, and I’m still deeply impressed! This is a truly authentic Edo-period style ryokan, with a serene and cozy atmosphere that beautifully preserves Japanese tradition. Everything—from the interiors to the hot baths—radiates a deep respect for cultural heritage. I want to especially thank the staff. I accidentally left a valuable piece of jewelry in the bath and had nearly accepted that it was lost. But the staff not only found it—they contacted me and kindly mailed it to my hotel in Tokyo. I was genuinely touched by their honesty, care, and attention. This place became more than just accommodation—it became a special memory of my journey in Japan. I will definitely return and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a truly Japanese experience and heartfelt hospitality. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
