Conveniently located in central Kyoto, Ryokan KANADE offers a Japanese-style garden. Kyoto Station is a 15-minute drive from this property. My girlfriend and I stayed at Kanade in September 2024. The ryokan offers a beautiful interior and room, as well as a convenient location (there are two bus stops nearby, allowing easy access to anywhere in Kyoto). The room also has a great view of the garden. We ordered breakfast at the hotel as well. Despite some issues in scheduling breakfast for us, thanks to the excellent and well-coordinated work of the staff and chefs, we were able to enjoy a wonderful breakfast that same morning. The beds are very comfortable, and there’s a lovely yukata set for two in the room. We liked everything and would be happy to stay again. Special thanks to the hotel staff who worked hard to make our stay comfortable and resolved any minor issues as quickly as possible.

Massage service is also provided at a surcharge. Luggage storage is offered, while laundry service is offered at an additional charge. A great mix of a traditional and modern ryokan. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and traditional, while the amenities are modernised. The futon beds were surprisingly comfortable. The on-site onsen bath is very neat and tattoo friendly. Overall a very nice experience. The staff were very friendly, accomodating and very helpful.

Situated a 10-minute walk from lively Kawaramachi area, Kyomachiya Ryokan Sakura Urushitei offers Japanese-style accommodation with modern facilities and traditional design. It provides a tour desk and a bar on the ground floor. Free WiFi is available in all areas. We managed to book there only one night, and other nights in a place closer to the historical part. We wish we could stay at this ryokan longer. Authentic experience and everything our though-out carefully.

Seikoro Ryokan is located in Kyoto, a 7-minute drive from JR Kyoto Station. Featuring traditional Japanese-style accommodation, it offers a public bath and massage services. Free Wi-Fi access is available at the entire property. Excellent traditional ryokan with superb staff.

Some units in the ryokan have private entrance and are equipped with wardrobe and tatami. Units are complete with a private bathroom, while certain units at the ryokan also provide guests with a seating area. Definitely get the dinner, the rooms were perfect as pictured and beautiful, amazing attentive staff

Ryokan Sumiya Kihoan offers a hot spring bath and a hot tub, as well as air-conditioned accommodation in Kameoka, 13 km from Oyamazumi Shrine. This 4-star ryokan offers a lift and free shuttle service. There is a restaurant serving Japanese cuisine, and free private parking is available. Worth every cent! What an experience! I wasn't sure at first (as I had the whole responsibility on me to decide for the group I was with) and if you're on a budget like we were, well this is a spend ..BUT..so happy I booked Ryokan Sumiya Kihon. As a tattooed group we had to rent private. It was hilarious to be butt naked with your best friends and ridiculously relaxing. The food is delicious. Breakfast= huge but Dinner = a little small for our crew. (Spanish/Australian mix). It's fine. Just bring snacks ;).

The Host were super friendly, nice and professional. Very clean and high quality. We will defiantly stay at this place again in the future. Loved it!
